Government Funding For an arts lobbying organisation the issue of government spending is one of paramount importance. The NCA makes the case for adequate and sustainable levels of resources and support for the arts in discussions about public spending, working to secure the best possible settlement for the sector to ensure its continued growth and safeguard its future development. Much of its activity focuses around Spending Reviews, the mechanism through which Government agrees levels of public investment and its expected returns on this. The NCA works with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and other stakeholders to advocate the role of the arts as a key element in our national culture, across central and local Government.
