Theatre delegation, 2001

On 20 March 2001, the NCA took a delegation of theatre practitioners to meet the Arts Minister, Alan Howarth, to present concerns raised by the theatre sector at the Theatre 2001 Conference. The discussion covered the place of the arts in education and on the National Curriculum, reducing bureaucracy in applying for funding, training and professional development, collaboration between theatre and film, and the problems caused by foot and mouth disease in 2001.
