Youth Matters

The DfES Green Paper, Youth Matters, was published in July 2005, and the consultation period finished in November 2005. The Government response, Youth Matters - Next Steps was published in March 2006. The papers focus on empowering young people, giving them somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.

The NCA response to the consultation focused on the value of artistic experiences to young people, and the importance of recognising that such experiences should be a right, not a privilege.
