Arts and health delegation, 2002 On 21 March 2002, the NCA took a delegation to meet the Minister for the Arts, Baroness Blackstone, to discuss the arts and health. The delegation focused on the need for consistent funding policies across the country, for education and training for health workers and for improvement in cross-departmental communications. The discussion covered the allocation of funds for art and good design in hospitals, the provision of arts co-ordinators, the collaboration of local authorities and health authorities in funding arts and health, research into the effects of the arts on health and the promotion of existing funding frameworks for arts in health.
