In 2005-06, local authority and other public funding (not including Arts Council Funding) accounted for 19% of the income created by Arts Council England's (ACE) regularly funded visual arts organisations. 47% was created by the ACE subsidy, and 27% from earned income. The amount contributed by local government and other public funding to the visual arts was higher than the overall regularly funded organisation average of 12%.
