Answer
In 2008, Arts Council England's (ACE), delegated £10 million to Youth Music to fund projects aimed at increasing the participation of children and young people in musical activities.
Annual Review 2008, ACE, August 2008
In 2005-06, 35% of income created by ACE's regularly funded music organisations came from the ACE contribution, a marginally lower percentage than the average for regularly funded organisations (36%). However, subsidy per individual attendance was £10.80, higher than average, due to the relatively small audiences at music events.
