The 2007 Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) allocated £22.5 million in funding for the British Museum over the next three years. £18.2 million was allotted to the Natural History Museum, £13 million to the National Museum of Science and Industry, and £2 million annually to the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) and Wolfson's Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund.
