Answer
In 2005, Wales was receiving 4.5% of Lottery funds for the arts. It was stated that this reflected Wales' population but did not compensate for previous neglect.

In 2004-05 the Arts Council of Wales received £23 million from the Wales Assembly and £13.5 million from the National Lottery.
