Peter Benson, the Hon Treasurer of the NCA, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1965, becoming a partner in 1971, and thereafter spending his working life with that firm, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, Starting as an auditor he finished by concentrating on Privatisation which specialisation took him round the world. He was on the Board of the Royal National Theatre for twelve years, and is currently Chairman of the Royal National Theatre Foundation, Vice Chairman of the English National Ballet School and on the Board of Chichester Festival Theatre. He is also on the Council of RADA. Apart from country pursuits, as a frustrated actor he seeks solace performing with the Hurlingham Players in south west London.
