Arts consultant Susan Loppert is known for pioneering the integration of the visual and performing arts at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, which she fitted with art works, music festivals, operas and workshops for patients, staff and visitors. She initiated and supervised the first clinical evaluation of the effects of the arts in healthcare. Susan won a European Woman of Achievement Award (2004), a Creative Britons Award (2000) and a Londoner of the Year Award (1998). She is Chair of the Foundation for Women's Art (www.fwa-uk.org), a trustee of Paintings in Hospitals, and works with Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital.
